POD Manager, Academic & Professional Division

The opportunity

Bloomsbury’s Academic & Professional Division publishes over 1,500 front list titles per year and maintains a large backlist across a range of subjects including Philosophy, Education, Theology, Linguistics, History, Law, Drama, Film and Media, and Fashion. Print-On-Demand (POD) is a key element of our strategy for both front and backlist management. We are looking for a POD Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our POD programme as well as to work on development and implementation of our global POD strategy across the business.  
 

The role

  • Oversee the day-to-day workflow to ensure all POD projects are produced to schedule, budget and quality standards
  • Work with relevant stakeholders on reviewing, setting and implementing our global POD strategy
  • Manage the relationship with our key POD vendors


Knowledge, skills and experience 

  • Detailed knowledge of the production and operations life cycle and the role of POD
  • Experience of managing key supplier relationships
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven project management skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience of reviewing and constructively challenging working practices to ensure continuous improvement

The role is a full-time permanent position

Salary Range: £39,000 - £45,000

The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP on a hybrid working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred).  Allocated office days for this role are: Wednesdays and Thursdays
