Sales Administrator, Bloomsbury Digital Resources

The opportunity

Bloomsbury Digital Resources is committed to serving a global community of students, scholars, instructors, and librarians by providing creative online research and learning environments that deliver excellence and originality.

An exciting role has become available to join the Bloomsbury Digital Resources UK and Europe sales team as the Sales Administrator. This team has continued to deliver year on year revenue growth and this position helps to provide the foundation to that continued success by providing administrative support.

Reporting to the Head of Sales for the UK and Europe, you’ll be working closely with our existing university library customers, providing them with pricing and information on their Bloomsbury subscription renewals.

This is a great role for someone looking to start a career in academic publishing sales or sales operations. It will provide an opportunity to learn the full sales cycle, sales processes, systems, and to work within a friendly and highly experienced sales team.

The role

The Sales Administrator plays a key role in supporting the sales operations of the Bloomsbury Digital Resources sales team. The role is primarily supporting the Head of Sales for the UK and Europe by working with key customers and managing the subscription renewal process, but also provides administrative assistance to the wider sales team as required. Typical tasks include:

  • Prepare and send subscription renewal quotes to university libraries
  • Process subscription renewal orders on Salesforce
  • Complete end user license agreements for subscription renewals and/or new business orders
  • Provide university libraries with product usage reports
  • Assist with order processing when required by the sales team

Knowledge, skills and experience

We’re looking for a confident and articulate communicator that is able to build relationships with colleagues and customers. The role would suit a self-starter with a proven ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and prioritise workloads as per the needs of the team. The role will require use of Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce, so experience in both would be highly beneficial.
