The Vacancy
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Manager to manage industry-best, audience-led campaigns for titles across our recently-launched fiction and non-fiction commercial division. You will be full of ideas and energy, ready to become a key part of the Marketing team and driving high-impact marketing campaigns, community development and brand growth.
Winner of Publisher of the Year at the 2025 British Book Awards, Bloomsbury is the UK’s leading independent publisher and unique in the world of publishing. We have the commercial clout of a big conglomerate and the nimble energy of an indie that allows us to publish with attentiveness and creativity. It is an exciting time to join Bloomsbury General; the commercial heart of Bloomsbury, we launched just two years ago and since then we have published six Sunday Times bestsellers, the bestselling paperback original of 2024 and we are launching our new SFF imprint, Archer, to sit alongside our already well-established crime/thriller imprint, Raven. The Marketing Manager will work across a range of fiction and non-fiction, for readers seeking entertainment and escape, and be an integral part of helping to shape marketing strategy for the division, reaching new audiences and building effective strategies for brands, imprints, communities and channels.
Our list is home to a wide range of bestselling authors and brands, including Samantha Shannon, Stuart Turton, Laura Purcell, the cast and creators of Ghosts and Gladiators, Penny Lancaster, Alan Moore, Brittney Arena, Ali McNamara, Katie Fforde, Alex Aster, Bal Khabra and many more. As a team we are active in acquiring and publishing showstopping talent across multiple genres and this role will be a key voice in this conversation.
You’ll report to the Head of Marketing, General Division, and join an award-winning, collaborative and friendly marketing team that works across Fiction, Non-Fiction, Cookery and Lifestyle titles, at a pivotal time in Bloomsbury’s growth.
