The opportunity
At Bloomsbury Lifestyle we’re looking for an Editorial Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will offer administrative support to the Lifestyle Publisher and the Editorial Director of Tonic, Bloomsbury’s wellbeing imprint, as well as the rest of the team.
You will be working on a Lifestyle list which publishes bestselling brands such as Tom Kerridge and Dishoom, cookery talent like Poppy Cooks and Georgina Hayden, and lifestyle and gift titles that look amazing and have wide appeal. For the Tonic list you will support on a range of titles across psychology, parenting, health/nutrition and inspirational thinking, from authors such as The ADHD Adults, Adam Lind and Toni Tone.
The role
This role will involve administrative and editorial support across the team, diary and meeting management, keeping on top of metadata and critical path, as well as creative tasks such as writing copy, reading submissions and contributing ideas. You will need to have very strong organisational skills including a strong eye for detail and an ability to prioritise a diverse workload. You will also need to be a good communicator and work well within a team.

Salary Pay Point: £27,000 per annum

The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP on a hybrid-working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred). Allocated office days for this role are: Monday and Tuesday
This position is eligible for Bloomsbury’s Rental Deposit Loan Scheme. To assist candidates who want to start and to establish a career in publishing, Bloomsbury offers an interest-free rental deposit to support securing somewhere to live. The rental deposit loan can be up to £3,000 and will be paid back over 2 years.
