The Vacancy
Bloomsbury Children’s are looking to recruit a talented Fiction Designer to join their Children’s Design Team. We are looking to recruit a designer who has experience of designing fiction covers and integrated illustrated interiors from initial concepts to final print-ready files. The Bloomsbury children’s fiction list is varied in both subject and age range: we publish young illustrated titles, graphic novels, middle grade and YA, epic fantasy adventures, funny stories, love stories and real-life drama, with a focus on brilliant story-telling for all audiences. We are looking for a designer with enthusiasm, flair and meticulous attention to detail, who is excited by this range of content. This position will give the opportunity to learn, develop and refine their design skills, under the direction and mentoring of an experienced senior team leader.
The designer will be responsible for their own assigned projects and will be responsible for their delivery on time and to budget. They may also be required see through projects on behalf of their seniors, and to take on projects within an established series. The role will report to the Fiction Art Director.

Salary Pay Point or Range:
The salary for this role will be £29,000-£32,600 pa.
The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP
on a hybrid-working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based. The office days for this role are: Monday and Tuesday.
