The Vacancy
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Financial Operations team. The role is central to our month-end reporting and key accounting processes, with a focus on revenue, cost of sales and stock. It will provide exposure to IFRS, performance analysis, operational process flows and controls befitting a PLC environment.
The role
Fulfil month-end deliverables in line with the month-end timetable, with a focus on revenue & stock postings and reporting
Assist the Financial Controller with the development of an effective controls framework for their respective areas of responsibility
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations which adhere to the controls framework
Provide insight into the monthly numbers with commentary and analysis
Initiate process improvements to drive value where possible
Support the external audit process
Stock reconciliation
Stock provisions and additions
Knowledge, skills and experience
Exam qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT) preferred
Experience of working as a management accountant in a large or compliance finance function
Ability to deal with complex accounting and make improvements to month end processes
Interpersonal & Management skills
Good communication skills, verbal and written, and ability to present financial information in a manner that can be understood by all recipients
Fast and accurate, attention to detail
Proactive and motivated, able to show initiative and work independently
Strong technical, analytical and judgement skills
Ability to be flexible and work across a divisional matrix structure
Problem solver with a track record of undertaking and delivering projects

The role is a full-time and permanent position.
The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP on a hybrid-working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based. Allocated office days for this role are: Monday and Tuesday.
