An opportunity to join the Sales Team of a top 5 UK Publisher at a time of dynamic investment and growth.

We are looking to recruit an Online Sales Assistant with good organisational skills to work in our fast-paced online sales team. Reporting to the Senior Account Manager, eBooks, this position will play a key role to support the wider online team who are managing and growing all our accounts and assisting on the day-to-day administration and operations for the team, compiling data for analysis (weekly account updates and other sales reports) and be the first point of contact for general internal queries about our online accounts internally and externally.

The ideal candidate will have initiative, a natural curiosity, enthusiasm, will be data driven, good at multi-tasking and with a love of spreadsheets and ready to join a highly motivated and dynamic team.

Bloomsbury has offices in London, New York, New Delhi, Oxford and Sydney.

Based in our Bedford Square office this will be a hybrid-working position.
 

The role
Account Administration:

  • Compile and prepare weekly sales report for Amazon
  • Manage internal and Amazon agendas and minutes
  • Maintain our sales traces and compile data for reports to share internally
  • Manage compliance checks process
  • Assist with online accounts administration (including Infringement claims, author approvals,
  • etc)
  • Processing Amazon retro claims
  • Create and circulate monthly promotion update emails to divisional specialists
  • Prepare digital customer presentations
  • Assist with digital accounts administration
  • Support the Senior Account Managers and Divisional Specialists across online and digital

Market Analysis:

  • Keep records of sales data and compile data for regular reports to share internally including weekly sales across all formats
  • Maintain our digital sales trackers and conduct regular audits for accuracy
  • Managed availability checks on key retailers
  • Supply ad hoc sales figures requests

 

Team support and admin in tune with other Sales Assistants:

  • Provide support for general sales admin and ad hoc business analysis

 

Knowledge, skills and experience 

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Organised and can prioritise tasks
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient with systems such as Biblio, Nielsen, Cognos and PowerBI

The role is a full-time and permanent position

 

Salary: £27,000 pa

The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DPon a hybrid-working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred).  Allocated office days for this role are: Monday/Tuesday

This position is eligible for Bloomsbury’s Rental Deposit Loan Scheme. To assist candidates who want to start and to establish a career in publishing, Bloomsbury offers an interest-free rental deposit to support securing somewhere to live. The rental deposit loan can be up to £3,000 and will be paid back over 2 years.
